Acupuncture is an individualised treatment option that activates the body’s innate healing capacity. It works through the insertion of fine needles into acupuncture points specifically chosen to treat your body.

Mother Warming is a moxa technique used to tonify the mother post-birth. It is useful to re-energise and aid their recovery. This supports their healing process and feels absolutely wonderful to the mother receiving it. Mother warming is typically done at least once in the days and weeks after birth and often continued throughout postpartum.

Our mother warming treatment also includes a closing of the bones ceremony, a sacred rebozo wrapping technique used to honour the mother. It assists with guiding the mother's spirit to return to her body, after sharing it with another soul throughout pregnancy, and from the experience of childbirth. Physically, it guides her bones back into place, helps her pelvic organs shift and her uterus to shrink back down, and stimulates blood flow. Women who are honoured in this way experience a sense of calm and grounding, re-establishing a sense of self.

Call the clinic before booking if there are any signs of heat such as raised temperature, night sweats, or inflamed caesarean scar.
